VSGA Amateur Championship Qualifying

  

ELIGIBILITY 

Open to VSGA members of all ages. Participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA Member Club in good standing and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. For additional information see the VSGA Championship and Tournament Eligibility Guidelines. 

  

ENTRY FEES/DEADLINES 

 

Last Chance Qualifier 
Players competing in the Last Chance Qualifier are required to register online by 3:00 pm Friday, June 18, 2021. The entry fee of $125 includes the course fee at the qualifier and $75 of the qualifying fee is applied to the championship entry fee for successful qualifiers.  The VSGA will also negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club.

  

Successful Qualifiers 

Amateur Championship – Those who successfully qualify for the Amateur Championship are required to pay the entry balance of $185 by June 18, 2021 which includes all course fees (including cart) for all rounds of competition. In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club. 

 

FORMAT 

Qualifying 

All non-exempt players must qualify to play in each championship. The total number of participants at each qualifier will vary by site and will be filled by lowest Handicap Index as of May 24, 2021. The number of qualifying spots available at each qualifier will be determined based on participation and will be announced on-site. 

 

 

VSGA Amateur Championship Information 

 

June 28-July 2 at the Country Club of Petersburg (Petersburg) 

 

FORMAT 

120 players (includes all qualifiers and exempt players) 

June 28-29 – Stroke play qualifying (18 holes per day); the low 32 players advance to match play 

June 30 – Rounds One and Two of match play 

July 1 – Quarterfinal and Semifinal matches 

July 2 – 36-hole match play final
